Overview
The Hire Controller is key to the success of their organisation and one of the main points of contact for customers. They provide specialist plant, tools, machinery or equipment on short or long term hire to carry out specific tasks across the construction sector. They usually report to a Depot Manager who provides support and advice to the Controller on difficult queries and work as part of a team which typically includes a depot manager, supervisor(s), maintenance staff and delivery staff.

Who is it for?

The Hire Controller position is for proactive individuals that are looking to offer services to commercial and domestic customers. They would generally be in charge of technical knowledge, operate in a construction environment, and maybe interact with domestic clients.

Key Responsibilities may include:

Hire Controllers will be responsible for providing technical information to commercial construction and domestic customers, ensuring all equipment is compliant with Health and Safety requirements, as well as processing payments for hire and rental charges.

Occupations may include:

Supervisor, Credit Controller, Stock Controller.
