Overview
A Teaching Assistant can work in a Primary school, Special school or Secondary school education across all age ranges encompassing special educational needs and emotional vulnerabilities. The primary role of a learner undertaking a Teaching Assistant apprenticeship is to support the class teacher in developing a pupil’s learning either in groups or individually, ensuring students understand the work set, know their learning objectives and stay on task in order to progress.

This course is for individuals looking to work with students either in a school or college setting assisting teachers with delivering lessons to the class. This course covers various requirements needed to work as an assistant within schools and how to approach a career in the education sector.
