Early Years Practitioner Level 2

As an Early Years Practitioner, the individual will work and interact directly with children on a day-to-day basis, supporting the planning and delivery of activities, purposeful play opportunities and educational programmes within the ethos of the setting. This occupation can be found within private or public settings including; day cares, children's centres, pre-schools, nursery schools, etc. An individual in this occupation may also be interacting with parents, health visitors, social workers or speech and language therapists.

Early Years Educator Level 3

The Early Years Educator course provides individuals with the knowledge and skills required to ensure young children develop well and are kept healthy and safe. These skills can be applied so that they can they can progress to become qualified childcare professionals. This course will teach individuals the skills required to ensure children are supported so that they are able to progress their learning. They may be working on their own or may be helping new staff to develop into practitioner roles.

Teaching Assistant Level 3

A Teaching Assistant can work in a Primary school, Special school or Secondary school education across all age ranges encompassing special educational needs and emotional vulnerabilities. The primary role of a learner undertaking a Teaching Assistant apprenticeship is to support the class teacher in developing a pupil’s learning either in groups or individually, ensuring students understand the work set, know their learning objectives and stay on task in order to progress.
