Brief Overview

Exciting Opportunity for Early Years Practitioner L2/Early Years Educator L3. Candidate must have a positive attitude, hardworking, well presented with good communication skills. Prior experience is desirable but not essential as all training will be provided on the job.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment and to follow the principles of nursery policies and standards
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene and encourage the children to do the same
  • To be consistent and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times
  • To abide by the policies of the nursery and put them into practice
  • To co-operate and communicate with the Manager and Deputy Manager on nursery matters – both children and staff issues
  • To participate in any in-house training and take advantage of training courses made available
  • To attend and contribute to staff meetings/parent meetings
  • To pass on any relevant information to the Nursery Manager
  • To carry out any domestic duties within the nursery as and when required
  • To ensure that they are aware of Health and Safety procedures by reading the Health and Safety policy.
  • Checking equipment regularly and adhering to the correct procedures

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Early Years Practitioner Level 2/Early Years Educator Level 3
  • Level 2 Qualifications in English and Maths (if not already achieved)
  • Workshops will be held at the employer premises or at Get SET Academy

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Potentially lead to full-time employment and further training qualification IE: Early Years Practitioner/Early Years Educator
