About Get Set Academy
Get SET Academy is the training arm of 1 Business Enterprise.
1BE was established in 2012 as a business support specialist, offering training, coaching and mentoring to small and medium sizes enterprises. Today, we provide leadership and management coaching for business owners and senior managers. We also provide role-specific support to employees and apprenticeships at every level.
Recognising a need for good, affordable training, we launched Get SET Academy as a specialist offshoot. Here, we focus on workforce development and employability skills for workers and unemployed people. We deliver both accredited and non-accredited training – e.g. bespoke life skills support for people dealing with disabilities or other challenges.
We help people from all backgrounds and across a broad spectrum of skills and topics.
We aim to place apprentices within organisations that are motivated to support and train them. We have good relationships with employers who apply positive business ethics, and who understand the value of working closely with our tutors/coaches. Not only can we help apprentices to get a foot on the career ladder, we can also address skills gaps with existing workforces, so we can help employers to build their in-house capacity.
